"Crimony, Goof, how many times do I gotta tell ya? I run a detective agency, not a bridge club. Clarabelle ain't a tip, she ain't a source, an' she's hardly a witness. If ya wanna bother somebody with that back porch gossip ya go straight t' Deputy Duck - if th' way he's always pokin' around is any indication, he's got nothin' better t' do. Heck, I could use a guy t' distract th' police right about now, ever since they started breathing down my neck 'cause Chief O'Hara got himself cop-napped..."
It's apparently unexpected sketch night on the House of Mouse.
So I was having trouble sleeping, bored out of my mind with my usual haunts and all the pictures I'm supposed to be doing, when I randomly check up on /co/, where I lurk occasionally because reasons. I notice there's a Mickey thread, something of a rarity around these parts, and I noticed Sentai Mickey on there, just chilling, which was kind of exciting because I've been feeling really down about my art lately and kind of like, I don't know, like I've kind of been pushed aside (I'm selfish and awful, I know). So I thought I would take a sketch request or two, this one being hardboiled detective Mickey, rocking that 5 o'clock shadow.
A respectable person would keep this to /co/, but you know me, I can't keep anything to myself. 'Specially not in these dark times when my art is dry and weak. Every little bit counts until I get back up on my feet.
Even if you claim your art is dry i say it is thriving, all your pieces tell a story or when you say it is just mice it does, I love this picture you can tell he is slightly or more than a bit annoyed with Goofy HAHAHA oh mickey but I treasure even your old pics and I love your sentai warriors(i have to reread parts of the first chapter because i just enjoy superheros of Mickey and Minnie and how you kinda represented them and the magic of putting them together in such a spectacular chapter, even if it was just one I ll always be excited XD but I love this pic seems AMAZING!!
Am I the only one who thinks this concept just works! Nice little details you put in there to make the whole sketch look complete. Like the adition of the playing card in Mickey's hat and the way the light falls in the room.
Not to mention the whole sketch looks so badass for some reason. Your art certainly isn't dry and weak. Don't be so hard on yourself dear. Sure you might feel like nothing works out like you want it too, but we all have such periods.
Ha ha, I'm the one who requested that picture in the thread. Like I said I really love it. There's something about hard-boiled detective Mickey that just...works. Must be all those detective stories he was a part of in the Floyd Gottfredson years and how much I love film noir in general. Thanks again for taking the request!

Wonderfull work once again!
Just sayin'.
