I feel like this is the first time Detective Michael Mouse sees her. He's trailing a baddie at some smancy-fancy function, done up nice in a tux. He's all focused and uncomfortable, surrounded by members of the Mafia. I bet Goofy is tripping around, they're both trailing Pete. Then he see's her, the loveliest creature he's ever laid eyes on. Golly, she's pretty. He tries to catch her name, starts following her discretely. She's demure, sweet as she talks to various guests. His snarky heart melts. Just as he gets close enough to say--say what? Anything, everything!--BAM! He smacks right into a tall thin frame. Minnie jumps a little as the figure whirls around, snarling at Mickey. It's Mortimer. He and Mick get into their first (of many) altercations, and Mort leads Minnie away with a smug grin and snide comment. But that's not the last he'll see of the Detective...
I think Mick would end up saving Minnie from her bad relationship and her unwilling involvement in Pete's criminal ring. They'd go on dates to the cinema, dance-halls (this is circa 1940s in my head), picnics, the pier. She'd be the first one to call him Mickey. :3
